'My blood is bubbling': uncle denied abused of niece and nephews, trial hears

Summary
In a trial of six extended family members accused of abusing three children between 2014 and 2016, the 49‑year‑old uncle repeatedly denied all allegations. He told Gardaí he was "not guilty" and that he only looked after and fed the children. He claimed he had not spoken to the children's parents since 2017 and that he was "happy in one way" that the children were removed from their parents. When questioned about discipline he said he would ground them and might "tip them a little bit." He denied any abuse of his daughter or eldest son, stating "never happened, all lies." The trial continues before Mr Justice Paul McDermott and a jury, with the uncle pleading not guilty to ten counts including rape, oral rape, anal rape, sexual assault and sexual exploitation. The case also involves other family members who have pleaded not guilty to various counts of sexual assault, exploitation and wilfully neglecting children.
