Girl (9) told interviewers that father sent naked photo, family abuse trial hears
Summary
In a trial of seven people accused of sexually abusing three children between 2014 and 2016, a nine‑year‑old girl testified that her father, who is 56, had sent her a message warning her not to tell anyone about the touching or she would be in trouble. She also said he sent her a photo of himself and her mother naked and having sex, and asked her to send him a photo of her "bum", which she did. The girl, who was in foster care at the time, used a tablet to send messages on Facebook to her brother and father. The court heard that the father and mother, aged 56 and 33 respectively, pleaded not guilty to multiple counts including rape, sexual assault and wilfully neglecting children. The trial continues before Mr Justice Paul McDermott and a jury.
