Brother jailed for rape and abuse of sister

Summary

A 46‑year‑old Dublin man was sentenced to four years' imprisonment for a series of sexual offences against his younger sister that occurred between 1990 and 1994. He was aged 16 when he first abused his eight‑year‑old sister and continued to commit four further acts over the next three years. She reported the incidents to her mother at 17, and later to Gardaí in 2018, after her children were born and she had experienced bereavement.
