Man who was teen when he raped sleeping woman brings appeal
Summary
Patrick O'Driscoll, aged 22, was convicted in March 2019 by a Central Criminal Court jury in Cork of raping a sleeping woman on 10 May 2016. The sentencing judge, Mr Justice Michael White, noted O'Driscoll's denial of the charges, lack of remorse, extreme drunkenness that night, and mitigating factors of his young age and personal circumstances.
