Summary
In July 2020, Mr Justice Michael White ordered that Michael Corbett, 30, be brought before the Central Criminal Court to decide whether he should remain in prison to serve the portion of his nine‑year sentence for attempted murder that was initially suspended. Corbett had been released in July 2018 after serving less than three years, on the condition that he live with his mother, with the final six years suspended because he was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia at the time of the 2016 attack.
