Liam Campbell gets permission to challenge extradition over international weapons trafficking

Summary

Liam Campbell, 58, who was found civilly liable for the 1998 Omagh bombing, has been granted leave by the High Court to appeal an extradition order that would surrender him to Lithuania to answer charges of international weapons trafficking. The extradition request is based on a second European Arrest Warrant issued by Lithuanian authorities, the third overall attempt to secure his surrender.
