Man who savagely beat partner appeals 30-year 'stay away' order

Summary

Daniel Wildes, 32, was convicted of assault after he violently attacked his former partner, Natasha Cummins, on 1 April 2018. The incident involved grabbing Cummins by the hair, throwing her around, kicking her, and threatening her with an electric razor. Wildes' lawyers appealed, arguing that the 30‑year stay‑away period was unworkable and arbitrary, and that it did not consider the children's future needs. The Court of Appeal will decide whether to uphold or modify the stay‑away order. Wildes has 40 prior convictions, including assault and violent disorder.
