Woman tells trial she was left 'in the middle of nowhere' after rape by three teenagers
Summary
In a Central Criminal Court hearing, an 18‑year‑old woman testified that she was raped by three Dublin teenagers aged 17 to 18 on 5 January 2016 at Bull Island, Dollymount. She said the men met her in an internet café, then drove her to Dollymount Strand where each man raped her in turn. She described being forced to lie in a car, having her trousers pulled down, and being penetrated by each man, one of whom she claimed was recording the act. She reported feeling horrified and disgusted, and that the men left her stranded in a remote area. The trial, presided over by Mr Justice Alexander Owens, continues with a jury that was empanelled earlier this month. The accused have pleaded not guilty. The case remains in progress.
