Garda Michael McArdle explained that the car was stopped after a break‑in at Beechwood Court, where a camera and related equipment were stolen. The stolen items were recovered and returned to the owner. The two co‑accused received 120 hours of community service in lieu of nine months' imprisonment. Kinsella has 14 prior convictions, mainly for traffic offences.
