Mum to be sentenced later after selling cannabis from her home

Summary

Debbie O'Reilly, 35, was arrested in August 2013 for selling cannabis from her home in Maple Avenue, Ballybrack. Police seized a kilogram of cannabis worth €21,920, 8 g of PVP worth €312, €8,200 in cash, a digital scale and an iPhone with drug‑dealing evidence. She pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis for sale or supply. O'Reilly had no prior convictions. After the raid she was interviewed by the county council for anti‑social behaviour, voluntarily surrendered her house keys and was subsequently made homeless. She and her 15‑year‑old son now live in sheltered accommodation. The court, noting her cooperation and progress in addressing her addiction, adjourned the case to July 2015 to protect her son from further disruption. The case remains pending for sentencing.
