Murder conspiracy trial halted after death of judge's father

Summary

The Special Criminal Court adjourned the trial of Liam Brannigan, 37, accused of conspiring to murder Gary Hanley between 15 September and 6 November 2017, until next Monday. Brannigan pleaded not guilty. Judge Paul Coffey announced the adjournment after learning his father had died the previous night, stating he could not resume the trial until the following week.
