Summary

Adrian Savage, 57, of Bolton Court, Dublin, pleaded guilty in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to three counts of possession of child pornography at various Dublin locations in March 2016 and to a further count in December 2017. He admitted viewing images of underage girls while using an internet café on Cavendish Road and downloading material onto USB sticks. Gardaí found 15 USB sticks and a black binder with over 90 images of child pornography at his home. Savage claimed he had never harmed a child and that his attraction was to teenage girls, not children. He has eight prior convictions for possession of child pornography. Judge Martin Nolan sentenced him to five years imprisonment for the 2016 offences and to a two‑year term for the 2017 offence, which was suspended in its entirety on strict conditions, to run consecutively with the first term.
