Summary
Stephen Weafer, 32, was sentenced in April for assaulting two women in 2016. He head‑butted Rebecca Burke while queuing outside Greyhound Pub, Blanchardstown, and later kicked Rachel Burke in the face during a melee. CCTV captured the head‑butt; no footage showed the kick. Rebecca broke a finger after falling; Rachel's nose was broken and remains permanently damaged. Weafer pleaded guilty to assaulting both women. He had 49 prior convictions for traffic offences and was taking epilepsy medication, which his defence cited as a factor. He offered €3,000 as a token of remorse and wrote a letter apologising. Judge Karen O'Connor remanded him on bail until April 30 for sentencing. The case was prosecuted by John Berry BL.
