Blood staining found in Lowry home, trial told
Summary
In the trial of Patrick Quirke, the Central Criminal Court heard that Gardai had found blood stains in the sitting room and bedroom of Mary Lowry's home. Retired detective John Grant testified that the stains were sent to forensic laboratories for analysis. The evidence was presented as part of the case against Quirke, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder of DJ Bobby Ryan. The prosecution alleges that Quirke killed Ryan to rekindle an affair with Lowry.
