Summary
In a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court hearing, Martin Lumsden, 35, pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a firearm after stealing from a Mace shop in All Saints Park, Raheny, on 7 May 2018. He had previously pleaded guilty to trespass and theft at Gaelscoil Cholmcille, a primary school, on 18 April 2018, where he and co‑accused John Finn, 32, had thrown a bag of coins over the school's railings, later found to contain €880.78, all of which was recovered. Lumsden stole about €500 from two tills in the Mace shop, none of which was recovered, and the firearm was not recovered. He has 110 prior convictions, including hijacking, false imprisonment, robbery and burglary. Finn has 17 prior convictions. The judge ordered probation reports for both men and adjourned sentencing to 21 May.
