Love triangle murder accused told gardai that deceased "came at him with knife"

Summary

During a murder trial at the Central Criminal Court, Keith Connorton (40) pleaded not guilty to the February 18, 2017 stabbing death of 32‑year‑old Graham McKeever. Connorton told gardai that he had returned home, argued with his partner Claire McGrath, and that McKeever had come into the house with a knife. He claimed he grabbed the knife, cut his own hand, and then stabbed McKeever a few times. Connorton said he tried to keep McKeever alive, called 999, and that he did not intend to kill him.
