Witnesses describe finding fatal crash victim
Summary
During a trial for dangerous driving, witnesses described a fatal collision that occurred at 1 a.m. on 17 November 2015 near Blanchardstown. Michael Jones, driving an Audi A3, allegedly ran a red light and struck the side of a Mitsubishi Colt driven by Hong Qing Qu. The crash left Qu's body squashed between seats and choking on his own blood. Witnesses reported that after the impact, three men dragged Qu from the Audi and placed him in the back of a Volkswagen Passat, which was then driven away toward Corduff. Several observers, including Louise Murphy, Jean Fitzgerald, Claire Bruton and John Gannon, recounted seeing Qu in a severely injured state, with blood from his ears, nose and mouth, and described the chaotic removal of his body from the scene. The case remains before Judge Patricia Ryan and a jury.
