Teen walks free from court after impeding investigation into murder by brothers

Summary

A teenager has walked free from court after receiving a suspended sentence for impeding the investigation into a murder committed by his two older brothers. Ryan Bradley (18) of Liscarne Gardens, Dublin 22, admitted to impeding the investigation of a crime after his brothers, Jason Bradley (20) and Dean Bradley (24), murdered 36-year-old Neill Reilly at Esker Glebe in Lucan, Dublin on January 18, 2017. All three were charged with murder, along with their father, Paul Bradley (54), and the four men went on trial at the Central Criminal Court earlier this year. Ryan Bradley was found not guilty by direction of the trial judge and pleaded guilty to impeding the investigation of a crime. His father was acquitted by the jury, while Jason and Dean Bradley were convicted and are now serving life sentences. Ryan Bradley's sentence hearing took place earlier this month, where it was noted that he had no previous convictions and was not involved in the feud with Neil Reilly. Mr Justice Paul Coffey imposed a five-year sentence fully suspended for 10 years, with conditions including keeping the peace, being of good behaviour, and having no contact with the Reilly family or a named associate. The matter was adjourned and never described as concluded or finalised.
