Summary

A couple, Muhammed Kashif (42) and his wife Deepa Vaswani (39), were found with an "Aladdin's cave" of stolen goods in a Dublin hotel room. Garda analysis of Kashif's laptop revealed 200 pages of chat where four people shared stolen credit‑card details. The couple used these details to purchase €1,452 worth of toys from Smyths Toys, €161 of sex toys, a six‑night stay at the Fitzwilliam Hotel (€2,781), flights from Dublin to New York (€3,592) and to Kuala Lumpur (€8,798). Seized items included a camera, a €4,000 watch, six phones, new clothes and €15,000 of foreign currency. Judge Melanie Greally sentenced them to four years, suspending three, and ordered them to leave Ireland for 20 years. They pleaded guilty to handling stolen card information, fraud, theft and criminal damage. They have no prior convictions.
