Prosecution near to close of case in Hutch murder trial

The prosecution is close to closing its case in the Special Criminal Court trial of three Dubliners accused of murdering 36‑year‑old Gareth Hutch, nephew of Gerry "the monk" Hutch, who was shot dead on 24 May 2016 outside Avondale House flats on North Cumberland Street. The prosecution alleges that Jonathan Keogh (32) threatened to kill Hutch the evening before the shooting, that Thomas Fox (31) and Regina Keogh (41) were instrumental in planning the murder, and that Keogh and another man, Mr AB, were the shooters. Fox, Keogh and Ms Keogh have pleaded not guilty.
