Summary
Michael Anthony Balmer, 62, a convicted British murderer, was brought to Ireland after his conditional release from UK prison in 2011. He had been sentenced to life imprisonment in 1984 for killing a woman in Devon, England, in 1983. In March 2012 his release licence was revoked and he was arrested in Cork.
