Summary
The Court of Appeal granted a "last chance" to a 22‑year‑old ringleader of a 2011 burglary in which a student was forced to withdraw money from an ATM while the student's girlfriend was threatened with rape. The offender had pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, robbery and false imprisonment and was sentenced to six years' detention in 2012. In 2015 the Court suspended the final 12 months of that sentence, citing the offender's youth and the need for rehabilitation.
