Woman (20) accused of having handgun at Connolly Station applies to have charge dismissed

Summary

Nikita Murtagh, aged 20, is applying to the Special Criminal Court to have a charge of unlawful possession of a CZ 70 semi‑automatic pistol, two rounds of 7.65 Browning ammunition and a shotgun cartridge dismissed. The items were allegedly seized by gardai at Connolly train station on 19 July. Murtagh is making the application under Section 4E of the Criminal Justice Act 1999. Judge Tony Hunt, with Judges Patricia Ryan and James Faughnan, will rule on the application on 21 December. She remains remanded in custody until that date.
