Summary

Derek Shevlin, 24, was jailed for two years after a violent attack on his ex‑girlfriend Ciara McGrath's family home. He entered the house on 11 September 2015, brandishing a hurley stick and an imitation handgun, demanding €400 for an iPhone he had bought for her. Shevlin smashed the front door, windows, and a Dublin City Council van, then pointed the gun at David McGrath, her father, and threatened to shoot him.
