Noel Kirwan murder accused to face non-jury trial

Summary

Jason Keating, aged 26, was charged with the murder of Noel 'Duck Egg' Kirwan, 62, who was shot in the head and chest outside his Ford Mondeo on St Ronan's Drive, Clondalkin, on 22 December 2016. The DPP applied for Keating to be tried at the Special Criminal Court, a non‑jury court, and the application was granted by Judge Isobel Kennedy.
