Roy Collins murder trial continues in "trial within a trial"

Summary

In the Special Criminal Court, the trial of Nathan Killeen (24) and Wayne Dundon (36) over the murder of Roy Collins (35) continues. The court heard evidence and a video about the detention of Killeen at Roxboro Road Garda station. The case alleges Dundon directed the killing from prison, Killeen was the getaway driver, and James Dillon fired the fatal shot. Collins was shot in the chest at Coin Castle Amusements on 9 April 2009 and died. The hearing is a voir dire to decide admissibility of evidence, presided over by Justice Iseult O'Malley. Roy Collins pleaded not guilty.
