Murder accused wants to engage new legal team, jury hears
Summary
Vesel Jahiri, 35, of Kosovo origin and no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Anna Finnegan, 25, and to assaulting Karl Finnegan on 21 September 2012 at Allendale Glen, Clonsilla. He had dismissed his legal team last week and was representing himself at the trial. Mr Justice Paul Coffey informed the jury that Jahiri now wishes to engage a new legal team, a process that will take time. The judge instructed the jury to postpone further deliberations until the next morning.
