Dubliner appeals conviction for leaving man with life-threatening injuries
Summary
Stephen O'Reilly, 31, of Finglas, was convicted in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for intentionally or recklessly causing serious harm to Stephen O'Brien, who was stabbed at O'Brien's Artane home on 18 August 2011. The appeal also considers whether a miscarriage of justice occurred under section 3 of the Criminal Procedure Act 1993. The Court of Appeal will decide whether to uphold the conviction. Stephen O'Reilly pleaded not guilty.
