Woman accused of murdering partner told gardai he "waved" knife at her

She described their relationship as "on and off" and said they had been together for about four months, sharing meals and drinks but not living together. On the day of the incident, after a party at Neanu's aunt's house, the couple returned to Phillips's home where an argument escalated. Phillips said Neanu went to the kitchen upstairs, returned with a knife, and she pushed it away, inadvertently striking him. She called 999, and a recorded emergency call was read in court. The jury, reduced to eleven, will continue the trial the following day before Justice Margaret Heneghan.
