Dublin man pleads guilty to having TNT
Summary
Patrick Brennan, 52, of Lindisfarne Avenue, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty in the Special Criminal Court to possessing four 400‑gram blocks of TNT and three electric explosive detonators. He admitted that the items were in his possession on 16 June 2015 at Store Street, Dublin 1, and that circumstances suggested he had not obtained them for a lawful purpose. Brennan was also charged in July with membership of the Irish Republican Army (Oglaigh na hEireann). The court remanded him in custody until 30 January, when sentencing will occur.
