Louth man to stand trial accused of directing IRA activites

Summary

Séamus McGrane, 60, of Little Road, Domiskin, Co Louth, faces trial in the Special Criminal Court for directing the activities of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) between 23 December 2009 and 13 May 2015, a period covered by a suppression order. He is also charged with membership of the IRA during the same dates. The court, presided over by Ms Justice Isobel Kennedy, set the trial date for 3 October 2017.
