Teen sentenced over theft of computers from youth centre

Summary

Liam Fox, 19, of Rossfield Park, Tallaght, was sentenced to 20 months in prison at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for his role in stealing €18,000 worth of computers and electronics from Brookfield Youth and Community Centre on 7 November 2014. The stolen items included five Dell laptops, three Playstations, iPads, Apple Macbooks, a digital camera and memory sticks, and the burglary caused damage to a glass door and filing cabinet. The offence lasted 55 minutes and was captured on CCTV, with Fox identified by Gardaí as one of four teenagers involved.
