Man pleads not guilty to murder of Peter Gunn

A 32‑year‑old Dublin man, Alan Harte of Clareville Grove, Glasnevin, pleaded not guilty to the murder of 29‑year‑old Peter Gunn on or about 4 January 2009 in Cabra Park, Cabra. Harte, who is from the East Wall area, is charged with the killing that allegedly followed a stabbing in a flat in Cabra Park. He was arraigned before the Central Criminal Court, where a jury of six men and six women was sworn in. The trial, presided over by Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy, began today and is expected to conclude by the end of next week.
