State says number used to book Las Vegas holiday is linked to Lunney accused

At the Special Criminal Court in Dublin, prosecutors presented evidence alleging that a phone number ending in 567 was linked to Darren Redmond in connection with the September 2019 abduction and assault of Kevin Lunney near Ballinagh, County Cavan. The number was allegedly used when applying for a passport under Mr Redmond's name and address, when booking flights to Las Vegas for September 6 to 12, 2019, and when ordering food from a Domino's Pizza outlet three days after the alleged offence. Mr Redmond, aged 27, of East Wall, Dublin, denies false imprisonment and intentionally causing serious harm. Two co-accused, Alan O'Brien and Luke O'Reilly from County Cavan, also deny the charges. Defence counsel challenged the reliability of the evidence, noting that witnesses had no recollection of transactions and that automated systems could not verify how details were entered. The trial before three judges continues.
