Outcome: Mason was jailed for one year by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in May 2020 after he pleaded guilty to two counts of dishonestly inducing two luxury Dublin hotels to accept fraudulent credit card payments between December 29, 2019 and January 19, 2020. During a sentence hearing last year Garda Mark O'Neill told Karl Finnegan BL, prosecuting, that Mason checked into the Shelbourne hotel in Dublin on December 29, 2019 using a stolen American Express credit card registered to a woman in the UK.
