Outcome: Gerry Nevin (32) was today jailed for two years for the assault on board a Dublin to Sligo train at Connolly Station. She suspended the final six months of the sentence on a number of conditions, including that Nevin remain under the supervision of The Probation Service for six months upon his release and undertake offence-related courses.
