Outcome: Daniel Betley of Jugback Crescent in Swords was given 200 hours community service in lieu of a two month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to being in unlawful possession of a can of pepper spray under Section 9 of the Firearms and Offensives Weapons Act 1990 on January 11th, 2013 at Balheary Road in Swords. After Betley was assessed by the Probation Service to his suitability for community service, Judge Dermot Dempsey ordered he complete the community service work.
