During his sentence hearing Redmond took the stand and told Pieter Le Vert BL, defending, he had finished his last sentence in June 2019 and prior to release he had developed strategies for all eventualities to stay away from offending and avoid relapse. "But I had nothing pencilled in for having a relationship with someone because it's the last thing I expected," he told the court.; Redmond was remanded in custody and the relationship ended.
