Outcome: Dean Fitzsimons (19) was jailed for seven years for a range of offences, including three counts of possessing a firearm on two occasions in Blanchardstown, Dublin earlier this year. His father, Kenneth Fitzsimons (39) was jailed for five-and-a-half years for offences which included two counts of possessing a firearm, dangerous driving and resisting arrest.
