Outcome: Convicted; In her victim impact statement, Ms Ryan Wright said: "My world became dark and scary, and I was unable to tell anyone… At 14 years of age, I tried to kill myself, and when that did not work, I began to self-harm." At Tucker's appeal Michael Bowman SC, for the appellant, said that Tucker was sentenced for a multiplicity of sexual assaults that took place from the late 1970s into the early 1980s. Mr Bowman said that given Tucker's age and ailing health, this would make his imprisonment more difficult.
