Gang who forced man to hand over almost €60k have sentences reduced on appeal

Outcome: David McDonagh (35), and James McDonagh (47) were jailed after they forced Niall Hearty to hand over €57,000 on two separate occasions in Dundalk, Co Louth, during July 2009. Stokes was later sentenced to eight years by trial judge Ray Fullam, while co-accused David McDonagh got 10 years and James McDonagh was also given eight years.
