Violent criminal has sentenced reduced over 'extremely nasty' attack

Outcome: Dineen, of Cedar House Hostel, Dublin, was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to assault causing harm and to producing a knife and robbing the man's wallet. At Dineen's sentence hearing, Garda Conor Mackey told Tony McGillicuddy BL, prosecuting, that Mr Syergaz left a trail of blood from Dorset Street up North Circular Road, ending in a pool of blood at St Benedict's Garden from what gardaĆ described as his "horrific slash wound".
