Fully suspended sentence over cocaine and cannabis raid was too lenient, appeal court finds

Outcome: Drugs Act and was sentenced by Judge Martin Nolan at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court the following day. In an appeal against the leniency of the sentence imposed, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) stated in submissions that gardaí obtained and executed a warrant to search the home of the respondent on August 3, 2021.; The court ordered that a probation report be prepared and adjourned the matter to July 23, when the court said it will proceed to quash the original sentence and resentence the respondent.
