Outcome: Passing sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today, Judge Martin Nolan accepted that Kearney was holding the money for third parties unknown to him and was not benefitting from the profits. Judge Nolan set a headline sentence of six years but reduced this to two years in prison because of Kearney's good mitigation.
