Judge threatens to "make example" of school-run mum who parked on double yellow lines
Stage: Sentence
Plea: Guilty
Outcome: Anyim claimed that she had spoken to the Traffic Warden and told him she would only be one to two minutes parked there as she was collecting her child from school. 'I didn't get any fine on the car and I didn't realise I was fined,' she said. 'I got no warning, just a summons.' She also claimed 'every parent parks on the lines.' The Traffic Warden told the court he has no record of speaking to Anyim and explained that Chapel Street has a primary school located on it and children are coming and going from the school.; The judge then adjourned the case until June 26th for Anyim to pay €75 or he will proceed by way of a fine.
