Outcome: Following a successful appeal today by Leacy, a new sentence of three years imprisonment with two years post release supervision was imposed on him by the Court of Appeal. Nonetheless, the Court of Appeal was of the view that Leacy's sentence was out of line with sentences which have been imposed for comparable offending.
