Woman who entered into arranged marriage was assaulted, had food and heating restricted
In a Dublin case, a man who entered an arranged marriage with a woman was found guilty of assault and coercive control. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing harm on 27 January 2020 and one count of coercive control. The court noted that the maximum sentence for each count was five years.
